Biography
Mr. Samer Omar has recently joined Qualys, a leading Vulnerability Management company which also provides integrated Policy Compliance and Web Application Scanning in a SaaS model, as the Managing Director for the Middle East and North Africa.

Prior to joining Qualys, Mr. Omar founded Business Security Gurus in May 2000 as a company focused on providing best of breed security solutions. During this period, he also worked as a Security Consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton on several projects in the Public Sector.

Mr. Omar served as Founder/Consultant at Business Security Gurus until it formed a joint venture in the Middle East with IT Security Training & Solutions, where he was the Chief Executive Officer and remains a non-executive Board Member.

Mr. Omar brings to the Middle East a vision of end-to-end security solutions based on the concept of Security Empowerment through Security Education. He brings more than eighteen years of Information Technology experience to the company, including extensive work with mission critical Operation Support Systems, Business Support Systems & Applications, and IT Security.

The presentation will focus on increasing the awareness of terminology including SaaS, MSS, IaaS etc and their benefits when compared with existing approaches to tackle information security challenges like achieving governance, compliance.
