Targeted attacks: personal or corporate?

Today malware is often highly sophisticated. In spite of this, cybercriminals often seek to exploit human weaknesses to spread their code.

This should come as no surprise. Humans are typically the weakest link in any security system. That’s why so much cybercrime rests on social engineering techniques, i.e. ways of tricking people into doing something that undermines online security – their own or their employer’s.

This presentation will look at the rise of targeted attacks, how they typically begin by tricking people into undermining corporate security and what we can do to minimise the risk of attack.
