Biography
Husamettin Baskaya has more than 18 years of experience in IT security market.
 
Early year of his carrier, he worked for Turkish National Police as a mid level manager. He started the first computer crimes studies within the TNP in Turkey.

He was the coordinator and the leader of computer crime coordination group within the Turkish Police. His initiative resulted the new organisational changes within TNP to tackle computer crime. He also was a member of the Interpol Internet Crime working group, where he contributed to the working group to create an international understanding of computer crimes.

As a very active person in this field he delivered speeches and conferences about high tech crimes between 1997-2001 on national and international events. His studies and contributions are awarded by Turkish Police and some IT magazines in Turkey.

After moving to the United Kingdom, he completed Msc. Information security at Royal Holloway University of London. Following the graduation, he worked for a leading ISP, Tiscali UK as security and abuse administrator. With this he gained very good understanding of ISP level security and crime prevention strategies. Husamettin moved to Websense in 2006, where he started as a Sales Representative and became Senior Director of Regional Sales in 2013.

He built one of the most successful teams and created one of the fastest growing markets within Websense. Beginning of 2013 he took over the MENA region to replicate the same level of success. Since then, he works as Sr. Director of MENA. He has an excellent management experience of Turkish, Greek, Israeli, Middle East and North African markets. During the last 8 years, he received many internal rewards.
