Riku Valpas is a Senior Systems Engineer Manager at Fortinet Inc where he leads the technical sales team in Saudi Arabia.

The past 13 years Riku has worked in the Middle East in various roles, both technical and management. His past employers are Juniper Networks, Nixu Ltd and Fortum (IVO Power Engineering).

In Nixu he managed a team of network and security engineers and was involved in various IT security project and audits in addition to participating in developing the early Internet infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and Syria.

In Fortum he worked on nuclear power plant safety analysis and simulation software development. Riku has a master’s degree in engineering physics from Helsinki University of Technology majoring in nuclear and renewable energy technologies.
