James Hanlon is the Director of Security Markets Specialisation, EMEA at Splunk. Responsible for GTM strategy, strategic relationships and markets bookings, James, and his team, provides cross industry insights & executive strategic advisory services to promote better industry security analytics collaboration and effectiveness.
Before joining Splunk in 2007, James’s professional career has seen him employed by a variety of international companies such Symantec, Nexus AB, CGI and Oberthur Card Systems in roles such as Cyber Security GTM Strategy Leader, Head of Security Consulting & Head of EMEA Security Practice. In these roles, he was often called upon to publicly represent the organisations at industry events hosted by bodies such as Gartner, Visa Europe, Information Security Europe, (ISC)2, the Cloud Security Alliance and the Information Security Forum.
As a qualified security practitioner, James holds qualifications such as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Security Testing Associate (CSTA) and a Master Degree (MSc) in Computer Science. James is also certified in Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), Certified Malware Forensics Investigator (CMI) and is a SABSA Security Architect.
