Biography
Wesam Al-Zamil is the Head of Cybersecurity at CNTXT, a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Cognite. Prior to this role, Wesam served as a Cybersecurity Lead in Saudi Aramco’s New Business Development Organization, and led various projects under the Information Security Department in the fields of governance, compliance, and supply chain, spanning Saudi Aramco and its international offices. Also, she served as a member in Saudi Aramco’s Young Leaders Advisory Board, reporting to the Strategy Council. She is an active member in various industry’s communities and associations including the World Economic Forum’s Oil and Gas Cyber Resilience Community, where she co-led the delivery of multiple projects including the first Global Cyber Resilience Pledge. She was awarded IDC’s CSO50 award for a world-class cybersecurity project implementation in Saudi Aramco. Wesam holds a master’s degree in Cybersecurity from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, along with other accreditations from Wharton, IMAA, EC-Council, ISACA, and GIAC.
